I know I am a little late on this one, but I have finally finished all 4 of the books in the Twilight series and I am about ready to start reading the 250 pages on the Meyer's website that are from Edward's point of view. The final book comes out this summer and then the Meyer's will finish Edward's story in Midnight Sun.
Isn't it funny that I can talk to just about any grown woman about this book series??? Is it because we all have an "Edward" somewhere in our past? I have to admit that the first book was just ok to me, the second...LOVED IT, third was pretty good and the fourth book was awesome! The second was my favorite...so dark and painful I guess. One of the younger sunshiney teachers at school was just horrified that I loved the second book...to depressing for her. Maybe she hasn't found her Edward yet....or she has not been crushed by first love. I have everyone in my department reading and swapping these books, so as you can guess all we talk about at lunch is Twilight! And we are giggling and chatting like school girls! On a recent work day (no kids) we did progress reports and had a private screening of Twilight in my classroom
(Just like the old days Morgan and Jen). Of course we all had varying opinions of the actor who played Edward. I suppose it was not based on his acting ability but how closely he looked and acted like our "Edward".
Fun stuff. If you have not read these yet, you just have too! Call up your niece who is high school and ask her if you can borrow hers!

I didn't care for the first that much either, the second was much better, and so on...
I also didn't care for the movie.
My daughter has watched it about 100 times already and she has it downloaded on her ipod.
She also wrote a book called The Host. Sci-fi book. It was alright, nothing to write home about.
I just finished and loved all the Twilight books too !!
Thanks for the suggestion for Eli- I am going to check this out. I really appreciate you leaving the comment.
I am on book #3, can't wait to get to #4.
Admittedly, I am clueless. Read? I used to be a voracious reader. Now it is just no longer in the time budget...and that was before a kiddo even.
Not read a single one. If you own them maybe you could round them up & bring them to Ohio in June for me to borrow? Otherwise... don't know when I might read them. But apparently other than PIPO, I'm the only other person on the planet who hasn't read them. LOL!
Awww...memories! I LOVE TWILIGHT!! The 3rd book was my favorite though. Not going to lie...I made Allie go get the book for me at midnight the night the 4th book came out! I saw it the night it came out in theaters too, with a bunch of students. It's so good. But, you will be ruined from other books for good. I haven't found anything else that comes close to that series! Miss you and the work day fun we used to have!!!
Girl welcome to the Twilight club, what took ya so long? (wink). I loved the books but am not a fanatic. Agree with you though, we all have an Edward from our past, I can even name mine and still picture him and we still email once in a blue moon :O) Funny how we all have our fave books. I loved the first and 4th, hated the second (well, not hated, but man it was tough to get through because Jacob just PISSED me off the whole time!)
I just though they were OK..I was not fond of the 3rd at all..it took me forever to get through it. The 4th was my favorite. I had no idea there was a 5th coming out..
Yep I was right... it would certainly appear I'm the only person who hasn't read it. (Except PIPO... but at least she has a good excuse with that whole trip to China and new baby thing.)
OMG.. wait until you read Edwards point of view... In my opinion .. it is WAY better than the first book!!!!
I loved all four books but like you, some I liked better than others. The fourth book was amazing!.. but just wait... :0) Let me know what you think of edwards point of view
Have you read "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon? If you liked Edward I bet you will love Jamie.
I read the first, but haven't had the inclination to pick up the others. My stepdaughter is a different story, though, and has blown through the books and the movie like Pug Mama's girl.
Maybe I'll give the rest a try this summer when I have down time.
